FRANKENSTEIN 35MM + THE LOBSTER + PICASSO TRIGGER and SMU VAULT + STOP MAKING SENSE w/ JERRY HARRISON and more!

Wed, November 12

For years now GUILLERMO DEL TORO has been obsessed with everything FRANKENSTEIN. His knowledge on the topic extended to an annotated version of the MARY SHELLEY classic that arrived in 2017 and is highly suggested. His long awaited version of the tale tracks much like the book and hits the screen this week on 35MM. Even if you've seen the streaming version of this film there are loads of details that alter when the image gets transferred to print. Speaking of, CLINT BENTLEY's new 35MM of TRAIN DREAMS has a handful of showtimes left before it makes its way onto the next theater so you might wanna check your Oscar ballet early with LetterBox-cred. This week we also begin a new series with the archival vault at SMU starting with cinematic opus PICASSO TRIGGER. We'll be joined by the director's widow ARLENE SIDARIS who also produced the film. The guitarist of the TALKING HEADS' JERRY HARRISON will be stopping by to talk STOP MAKING SENSE and there's plenty more below. ON SALE ALERT: DAN SODER: THE GOLDEN RETRIEVER OF COMEDY TOUR heading to town next MARCH 19!

See you soon
