I write this week from a train zipping from Lyon France to Paris where I've been on a tour of some of the most historic theatrical sites including the birth of cinema itself. Lyon is home of the Lumiére Brothers who created projection technology that would lead to cinema as we know it today. A century later, studios still fight for our attention and many argue whether screening films with an audience is a valid experience. But we tend to think the fact that NETFLIX has chosen to put money into 35MM prints and crowds keep showing up for this physical format is a great sign for the future. This week we've added FRANKENSTEIN screenings on 35MM and the ultra-raunchy X-RATED print from TODD ROHAL, just to show the gamut of tastes we offer.

For a more "refined" comedic palate, the new 4K restoration of a mystery classic CLUE is a murderers row of stars and each screening has an ALTERNATE ending to work off that turkey. Speaking of family drama, CINÉWILDE presents a Diane Keaton holiday classic FAMILY STONE and RIAN JOHNSON returns with a new chapter in his KNIVES OUT MYSTERY: WAKE UP DEAD MAN. There's a ton more below as the fall looks like it's finally here to stay.
