Each year the TX Theatre pays its respects to the tragic events of NOV 22 1963. The assassination of JFK shook the globe and has continued to resonate throughout the years as a mythical reminder of political conspiracy and violence as a result of heated rhetoric. The very existence of the TX Theatre is a result of this complicated history as it would surely not have been saved but for the connection to this day. This year city archivist JOHN SLATE leads the charge for "CONSPIRACY CARAVAN", hosting several tributes to the day and its lore. Some of you may recall John appeared as the JFK expert in the iconic SLACKER years ago so we're thrilled to host him yet again! Loads of fun including tales from the grassy knoll and an appearance of MIRIAM LINNA from the CRAMPS. And since it's the season, don't forget the yearly release of OSWALD ARREST SHIRTS are up now! while they last! FRED ARMISEN returns to collect his ERNIE KOVACS award from BART WEISS' VIDEOFEST and "put a FRED" on the night once and for all. There's a few prints below including added shows of GDT's FRANKENSTEIN and CLINT BENTLEY's TRAIN DREAMS both on 35MM.
